About the Role

The Technical Lead – Customer Portals will serve as the technical authority for the organization's customer-facing websites and digital platforms. This role is responsible for driving the technical vision, architecture, implementation, and operational excellence of enterprise web applications—ensuring they are secure, scalable, and optimized for exceptional user experience.


Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Strategy

  • Act as the primary technical SME for customer-facing websites and related systems.
  • Define and maintain the technical roadmap and architecture, aligning with business objectives.
  • Lead design, integration, and implementation of new features and platform updates.
  • Conduct architectural reviews, technical deep-dives, and root cause analysis (RCA) for complex issues.
  • Champion best practices in coding standards, performance, and security.

Project & Delivery Management

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of web and digital initiatives from design to deployment.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Analysts, and developers to translate business needs into technical solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to IT governance, SDLC processes, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance and code quality.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Serve as the technical liaison for internal teams and third-party vendors.
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with vendor management teams to ensure service quality and contractual compliance.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.

Experience:

  • At least 10 years in enterprise software development and implementation.
  • Minimum 5 years in a technical leadership or lead developer capacity.
  • Minimum 3 years working on enterprise websites and web applications using CMS platforms (preferably Adobe Experience Manager – Sites, Assets, Templates, Workflows).
  • Proven experience in financial services, digital banking, or similar high-availability environments.
  • Hands-on experience working with vendors and cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills:

  • CMS Platforms: Adobe Experience Manager (preferred)
  • Back-End: Java/J2EE, JSP, Sling, JUnit, NodeJS
  • Front-End: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React or Angular, NodeJS
  • Database: Proficient in SQL for queries, debugging, and data analysis
  • Architecture: Microservices, REST APIs, system integrations
  • DevOps Tools: GitLab, Jira, Jenkins, SonarQube, Maven, Selenium
  • Infrastructure: Apache HTTP Server, Linux Shell Scripting, CDN, Load Balancers

Certifications (Preferred):

  • Adobe Experience Manager Developer or Architect Certification
