Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for electrical equipment breaks down or needs repair or maintenance

  • Responsible with repairing circuit breakers, replacing old switches, tracking down electrical shorts and generally ensuring the electrical systems are working safely.

  • Periodically inspect and test electrical systems and recommend fixes or replacement strategies appropriate to the situation

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma in relevant vocational training or successfully completed apprenticeship as an Electrician

  • Proven experience as an electrician

  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems

  • Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints

  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

  • Knowledgeable in plumbing and other carpentry works, painting, etc.

  • Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability

  • Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight
