Job Summary

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in

residential, commercial, or industrial settings. The role requires ensuring compliance with safety regulations

and electrical codes while diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical issues.

Job Description

· Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, outlets, switches, circuit breakers, lighting, and other electrical

components.

· Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.

· Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or necessary repairs.

· Diagnose electrical issues and implement effective solutions.

· Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and national regulations.

· Test electrical systems using tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, and ohmmeters.

· Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system functionality and longevity.

· Collaborate with other construction or maintenance teams when necessary.

· Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and installations.

· Follow workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment when handling electrical systems.

· Perform other tasks assigned by their immediate head.

Qualification(s):

· High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in electrical work is preferred.

· Proven experience as an electrician or in a related field.
