JOB TITLE: Cloud Engineer

Location: UP Ayala Technohub

Work Set up:Onsite

Schedule: 5x a week | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Salary Package: PHP 90,000 - PHP 100,000

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience across AWS services, infrastructure automation, monitoring, and security. This role also includes exposure to CI/CD, containerization, and modern .NET backend technologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • AWS Infrastructure Management: Manage EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, and VPC configurations. Enforce IAM policies and optimize cloud resources.
  • Monitoring & Logging: Set up and manage CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, and X-Ray for system performance and compliance tracking.
  • Automation & IaC: Use CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS CLI, and SDKs to automate infrastructure provisioning and maintenance.
  • Security & Compliance: Implement threat detection, encryption, and compliance tools (Security Hub, Shield, WAF, KMS, Inspector).
  • Cost Optimization: Monitor usage with Cost Explorer, optimize instance types, and manage budgets.
  • High Availability & DR: Design resilient systems using Multi-AZ/Region setups, Route 53, and AWS Backup.
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Automate deployments via CodePipeline, CodeDeploy, Lambda, and container orchestration (EKS, ECS, Fargate).
  • Hybrid Cloud & Migration: Lead migration efforts using Migration Hub, Snowball, Direct Connect, and VM Import/Export.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, VPC, IAM
  • Experience with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Config, X-Ray
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Hands-on experience with Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Cloud Security expertise: Familiar with IAM, Shield, WAF, KMS, Secrets Manager, Inspector
  • Cost optimization: Skilled in using AWS Budgets, Cost Explorer, and pricing strategies
  • Strong scripting skills: Proficient in Python and Bash
  • Problem-solving mindset: Proactive, self-starter with strong analytical skills
  • Agile/DevOps familiarity: Comfortable working in Agile teams and with DevOps tools

Preferred Certification:

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate or Professional
Preferred Backend/Development Skills
  • Experience with Entity Framework (EF Core or EF 6+) and ORM/data access layers.
  • Strong understanding of LINQ for querying data and collections.
  • Experience building and consuming Web APIs using ASP.NET Core.
  • Bonus: Experience with authentication, API versioning, Swagger/OpenAPI documentation.
