As a Cloud Engineer at DFI Retail Group, you will play a crucial role in the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure. You will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing cloud services to ensure high availability, scalability, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective cloud solutions. Responsibilities:

• Cloud Architecture and Deployment: Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available cloud solutions using Azure, GCP, or AWS.
• Infrastructure Automation: Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform to automate provisioning and configuration changes.
• Cloud Operations: Monitor, maintain, and optimize cloud environments for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
• Security and Compliance:
• Implement cloud security best practices, including identity and RBAC access management, encryption, and compliance with DFI and industry security standards.
• Manage and configure cloud security tools and continuously monitor security findings and alerts generated.
• Perform remediation of cloud security vulnerabilities and misconfigurations in accordance with best practices and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure adherence to regulatory and organizational standards.
• Incident Response and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid recovery.
• Disaster Recovery (DR):
• Design and implement disaster recovery strategies for cloud-based systems.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute DR drills to validate recovery procedures and system resilience.
• Execute actual DR events and ensure minimal downtime and data loss.
• Capacity Planning and Performance Tuning: Conduct capacity planning analyses to anticipate future cloud resource needs and ensure system scalability. Proactively tune system performance to optimize resource utilization.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate existing processes and tools, identifying areas for improvement and automation. Research and implement new technologies and best practices to enhance cloud infrastructure operational efficiency.
• Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and incident responses. Actively share knowledge and best practices with the team and organization.

Do you have experience as a Cloud Engineer?

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of total IT experience, including roles in systems administration, network engineering, or DevOps.
• Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or a similar role, with a strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, including various services such as compute, storage, networking, and databases.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or PowerShell and experience with automation tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
• Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and infrastructure automation.
• Solid understanding of security best practices for cloud environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team and communicate technical details to both technical and non-technical audiences.
