The Medical City Ortigas is searching for an experienced Physical Therapist to join the team and help lead the organization to the next level. This role is directly responsible in providing Physical Therapy and rehabilitation services for both in-patient and outpatient; these include assessment of patient/patient's condition, planning, implementation, treatment, education, and communication with all stakeholders to maximize patient's progress and achieve functional goals.

This role reports directly to the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department.

What's The Role All About?

Job responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Provides Physical Therapy to referred patients following the hospital and department's standard protocols to ensure safe, effective, and efficient patient care and exemplifying exceptional competence
  • Performing complete and accurate Physical Therapy evaluation, treatment, and rehab program prescribed by the Physiatrist to meet the rehabilitation goal for the patient
  • Demonstrating competency in implementing the prescribed treatment program, including facilitation of the exercise program, use of different equipment (Electrotherapy, Hydrotherapy, Therapeutic Ultrasound, Gym equipment, assistive device, among others to deliver safe, effective, quality patient care procedure
  • Providing health education to patients and their families including proper body mechanics, joint conservation techniques and home exercise to empower patient and/or patient's family and improve patient's condition and to encourage them to adopt a positive attitude towards treatment.

Who Are We Looking For?

An effective Physical Therapist must possess the following skills:

  • Electrotherapy
  • Hydrotherapy
  • Musculoskeletal therapy
  • Rehabilitation

Ideally, a candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy with PRC License (PTRP), and with relevant work experience in the same field.
