What You'll Be Doing:

  • Month-End & Year-End Close: Assist in supporting month-end and year-end closing processes by preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring financial data is accurately recorded.
  • Payouts & Financial Reports: Ensure the accuracy of payments, processing invoices, and ensuring timely disbursements. Assist with the preparation of monthly, and annual financial reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Data Entry & Financial Systems: Update and maintain financial records in accounting software (Xero, etc.) and ensure data is accurately tracked and reported.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal departments and external stakeholders to ensure the timely processing of payments and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Expense Management: Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies, ensuring proper documentation.
  • Audit Preparation & Compliance: Support the finance team in preparing for audits by providing required documentation and ensuring adherence to financial controls.
  • Process Improvements: Contribute to ongoing improvements in financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:

  • A degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business — or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in finance or accounting (bonus if you've worked with trust accounting platforms).
  • Hands-on experience with account reconciliation processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and a love for accuracy.
  • Great communication skills — you'll be working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Super organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Discreet and professional when handling sensitive financial info.
