Staff Accountant

Responsibilities

  • Primary support for Accounting Supervisor and staff in month-end closes and account analysis.
  • Responsible for preparation of detail account analysis, journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations, account roll-forwards, budget vs. actual analysis, system balancing, and all other tasks required to close month-end on a timely basis and maintain G/L account integrity.
  • Communicate unusual or prior period activity that materially impacts the financials to supervisor timely.
  • Prepare month-end reports for distribution to internal and external parties for assigned areas as requested.
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations with proper support and resolve reconciling items within 90 days.
  • Prepare daily and monthly cash reconciliation, identify and maintain variances, collaborate with 3rd parties to resolve issues.
  • Balance AR subsystem to GL daily and resolve variances timely with supervisor.
  • Primary support for Accounting Supervisor in financial statement audits, including preparation of detail audit schedules (monthly and at year-end) and analysis

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or comparable discipline (required)
  • Minimum 2+ year of experience in a general accounting/financial reporting function (required)
  • Preferably coming from BPO/Shared Services
  • Above average communication skills
  • Hybrid set-up

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php28, Php30,000.00 per month
