I. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Adheres to the company's policies and procedures by consistently applying the Forbes Standard, Okada Manila's policies & procedures and standard operating procedures by checking and monitoring the quality of food, beverage and service, recognizing guest request and preference to guarantee and deliver an extraordinary service and guest satisfaction.
- Complies with proper grooming and hygiene standards in accordance with Okada Manila's Food and Safety Management System to maintain the cleanliness, proper grooming and to be presentable at all times.
- Maintains the outlet's cleanliness and orderliness in the front-of-house and back-of house by checking the mis en place, ensuring the stations organized and properly stocked to offer prompt and efficient service and ensures smooth flow of operations.
- Performs duties and assists in the activities in the reception area by handling and receiving guest reservations and inquiries, answering calls, entertaining walk-ins, checks vouchers and gift certificates and performs other administrative functions to ensure smooth operation and guest satisfaction and excellent dining experience.
- Performs Server duties and responsibilities by welcoming and ushering the guest to the table while ensuring comfortability, presents the menu by highlighting the special, signature dishes and out of stock items to upsell and promote products and services.
- · Provides table service assistance, presents the bill and bids farewell by providing the same level of consistency of quality service and dining experience from start to finish by applying the Forbes standard handles minor guests complaints to build a create a good impression, professional relationship and establish trust with the guest.
- · Ensures and maintains inventories of food, bar and non-food items by conducting regular inventories to monitor and safeguard the materials and supplies to ensure sufficient and adequate par stock in order to minimize and/or control any recurring and unwanted cost and losses.
- Performs bar operations by completing the bar set up, forecasting and ordering of stocks, conducting daily inventories and monitoring breakages, checking bar equipment to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction.
- Prepares and mixes non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, classic cocktails, unique and innovative drinks while maintaining the standard quality for promotions and profitability.
- Expedites food and beverage orders by checking the quality, accuracy of the items and by setting the proper flow and right pacing of the delivery of foods to ensure that all orders are correct and delivered complete on a timely manner to eliminate guest complaints.
- Performs cashiering tasks by preparing the bill, counting and processing of payments like Credit/Debit Card, Gift Certificates, Cash Vouchers, etc. before presenting it to the guest to provide accurate bill, avoid any miscalculations and wrong settlements and ensure that all sales are generated and collected.
I. JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Educational Requirement:
- Preferably College Graduate with Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management or related course
Experience Requirements:
- At least 1 year experience in the same position in an Integrated Resort/5-star or International Property
Leadership Skills:
- People management
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Gadget and related Electronics Know-How
- Sound Knowledge of Cuisine, Beverages and Wine
Other Qualifications :
- Oral and written fluency in English
- Good understanding of local languages
- Foreign language correspondence is an advantage
- Interpersonal and Organizing Skills
