Position Purpose

The Static Data Senior Associate sits in the Manila Middle‑Office team and is responsible for the end‑to‑end set‑up, maintenance, and quality‑control of static reference data across all Middle‑Office applications. The role is a core part of Business‑As‑Usual (BAU) operations and supports the firm's global trading and reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the subject‑matter expert for static set‑up across all in‑scope applications, clients and time‑zones.


• Maintain an in‑depth understanding of upstream and downstream data flows, related systems, and stakeholder expectations.


• Process static‑setup queries/instructions promptly, escalating any ambiguities or missing information.


• Follow the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for every activity; ensure cash‑related set‑ups pass the required callback controls.


• Complete all activity check‑lists, KPI/KRI monitoring, and critical control checks (callback, cash SSI, DLP, etc.) on schedule.

Proactively identify, log, and report incidents or near‑misses on the day they are discovered.


• Keep the team lead informed of any critical BAU issues and contribute to root‑cause analysis.


• Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for internal and external audit inquiries related to static data.


• Maintain up‑to‑date skill‑matrix and training plans for yourself and the team.


• Suggest and drive process‑enhancement ideas, participate in periodic SOP/BCP reviews, and incorporate approved changes.


• Take part in Business Continuity Planning (BCP) testing for the team.

Technical Competencies:

Bachelor's degree in Banking & Finance, Business, Economics, Computer Science or a related discipline.


• 3‑5 years of hands‑on experience in static data set‑up, referential data management, or related middle‑office functions.


• Strong knowledge of listed securities, money‑market instruments, derivatives and the SWIFT messages that support them (MT54X, MT3XX, MT202, MT210, MT103).


• Proficiency with banking applications (e.g., Murex, Calypso, Bloomberg, Refinitiv) and MS Office – especially Excel (advanced formulas, Power Query, VBA) and PowerPoint.


• Ability to write and run basic SQL queries is a plus.
