About Client:

Solo Service Group is one of Australia's leading providers of services for commercial cleaning, property maintenance, and facilities management for some Private and Government (Public) establishments or entities in Australia.

About the Role: Fixed Term Role (November 17, 2025, to April 24, 2026)

This position is an integral part of assisting the accountant while also ensuring adherence to financial regulations and the company's policies.

Some of your duties may include (but are not limited to):

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
  • Manage the full accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Assisted in processing weekly and fortnightly payroll through Xero.
  • Oversee aged receivables and manage debt collection efforts.
  • Perform reconciliations and handle reimbursement management.
  • Conduct accounts auditing and maintain accurate inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) records.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of tasks and projects within the finance department.
  • Maintain financial records in Xero, assist in the preparation of Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, and generate relevant financial reports.
  • Liaise effectively with other departments within the organization to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Monitor and ensure that all approvals for invoices and claims are obtained before the deadline
  • Assist with the approval of invoices and claims related to the Accounts team
  • Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as required by the Accountant/General Manager.

Essential Skills: Qualifications/expertise

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting finance, or Management Experience
  • Basic knowledge of MS Word and Excel and other relevant financial management package
  • 1-2 years Xero Experience (preferred)
  • Excellent English language communication skills
