SCHEDULE: Full-time, 40 hours per week, UK business hours

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to join our growing team. You'll be the first point of contact for our customers, helping them with product setup, troubleshooting, and general inquiries. This role requires strong English communication skills, accounting knowledge, and experience with e-commerce platforms.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and chat in a professional and friendly manner
  • Use help desk software (e.g., Intercom) to manage tickets and ensure timely resolutions
  • Assist customers with setting up and troubleshooting ecommerce integrations (Amazon, Shopify, eBay, etc.)
  • Support customers using accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks), including explaining data flows and resolving setup issues
  • Communicate technical or accounting concepts clearly to both accountants and ecommerce sellers
  • Document customer feedback, issues, and common questions to help improve support resources

REQUIREMENTS

COMMUNICATION & TEAM FIT

  • Strong written English skills (clear, concise, professional)
  • Comfortable joining video calls for meetings and training

ACCOUNTS EXPERIENCE

  • Prior work experience in accounting or bookkeeping
  • Familiarity with Xero or QuickBooks preferred
  • Understanding of accounting principles (e.g., debits and credits)
  • Experience with ecommerce platforms such as Amazon, Shopify, or eBay

HELP DESK SKILLS

  • Previous experience answering customer queries by email or chat
  • Hands-on experience with help desk software (Intercom preferred)

LOGISTICS

  • Reliable high-speed internet connection
  • Backup internet or power solution available
  • Able to work full-time (40 hours per week) in UK business hours

APPLICATION PROCESS

  • Completion of a Loom video introduction (who are you, what you do, what you know about accounting and ecommerce, 2-3m max)
  • Skills and experience questionnaire covering accounting knowledge, help desk familiarity, and e-commerce exposure

Since this role is heavily focused on accounting workflows in an ecommerce setting, including interpreting data flows, understanding fees and payouts, and explaining accounting concepts to customers, we need to get a clearer view of your background in that area before proceeding.
