Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and flexible Technician to join our team. This position involves traveling to various facilities within a designated area to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of systems, equipment, and machinery. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, able to manage multiple work sites, and proficient in a range of maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on equipment and machinery at multiple sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other system issues.
• Respond to emergency service requests and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, parts used, and time spent.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards and regulations.
• Coordinate with facility managers to schedule maintenance during non-peak hours to minimize disruptions.
• Maintain inventory of tools and supplies required for maintenance tasks.
• Report on the condition of equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements as necessary.
• Provide support and training to on-site staff as needed.
• Ensure all maintenance procedures follow company standards and best practices.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience as a maintenance technician or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
• Ability to operate various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, as travel between locations is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with a wide range of personnel.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, bend, kneel, and perform other physical tasks.

Work Environment:

• Frequent travel between various locations within a specified region.
• Possible exposure to noisy, dusty, or hazardous environments.
• Flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required to minimize downtime during business hours.
