Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Intermediate Bookkeeper (Payroll-Focused) to join our team. You will play a crucial role in managing weekly payroll for hospitality clients while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across bookkeeping functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process weekly payroll for 100–200 hospitality staff, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.
- Manage general bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and journal entries.
- Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accuracy of financial data.
- Maintain clear and professional communication with clients regarding payroll and bookkeeping matters.
- Support financial health and compliance by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in bookkeeping with a strong focus on payroll management.
- Solid understanding of accounts payable, receivable, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Proficiency in accounting and payroll software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
