Primary Objective of Position

The Assistant Compliance Manager ensures compliance on all tax-related transactions and processes, ensuring that the company achieves overall tax compliance, systems, and internal controls for all company operations.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Assist in monitoring and ensuring compliance with local tax laws (BIR), corporate regulations (SEC), and other relevant government agencies.

  • Assist the accounting team during BIR examinations, tax concern and requirements.

  • Assist in reviewing all income tax, withholding tax, and VAT returns to ensure accurate and timely filing.

  • Administers accounting system including registration and monitoring of compliance with BIR requirements.

  • Perform periodic vouching of sales and purchase invoices, to ensure proper formats are issued/received.

  • Help design, implement, and update internal control procedures.

  • Coordinate with legal and other departments to ensure compliance.

  • Ensure proper filing, archiving, and retrieval of accounting and compliance documents in accordance with statutory requirements.

  • Other tasks relevant that may be assigned timely.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • BSA graduate

  • Familiarity with BIR reporting e.g. for VAT, EWT, Corporate Taxation and other Government legislation and rulings.

  • Knowledge in Tax updates.

  • Must be analytical and result oriented

  • Has a solid knowledge in accounting principles

  • Must be amenable to work at Makati City (near RCBC)

  • Preferably has experience in handling subordinates
