Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Company Physician to manage the health and wellness of our employees. The role involves providing medical care, handling workplace injuries, conducting health assessments, and implementing wellness programs to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, in line with Philippine regulations and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medical Care: Provide primary care, treatment, and medical advice to employees, addressing both acute and chronic health conditions.
  • Workplace Injury Management: Assess and manage workplace injuries, ensuring compliance with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) guidelines, and overseeing the medical aspect of workers' compensation claims.
  • Health Screenings: Conduct regular health assessments such as pre-employment physical exams, annual medical check-ups, and screenings for work-related health risks in accordance with DOLE Occupational Health and Safety standards.
  • Emergency Medical Assistance: Provide first aid and emergency medical care during workplace accidents or health emergencies.
  • Occupational Health Monitoring: Advise on preventive healthcare measures related to occupational health risks, including ergonomics, noise exposure, and stress management.
  • Wellness Programs: Lead and promote wellness programs and health education initiatives aimed at improving employee well-being, including vaccination drives, stress management, and lifestyle modifications.
  • Medical Records Management: Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for employees, ensuring compliance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and other privacy regulations.
  • Referral and Follow-up: Refer employees for specialized care as needed and ensure proper follow-up care for ongoing health issues or injuries.
  • Collaboration with HR: Work closely with HR in managing sick leaves, medical leaves, return-to-work processes, and workers' compensation claims in accordance with Philippine labor laws.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with local health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) under DOLE, and monitor adherence to Philippine Medical Board policies.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports to management on employee health trends, incidents, and wellness program effectiveness.

Requirements:

  • Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure: Valid professional license to practice medicine in the Philippines from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
  • Experience: At least 2 years of experience in clinical practice, preferably with experience in occupational health or workplace medicine.

  • Skills:

  • Proficiency in diagnosing and treating common medical conditions and workplace-related injuries.

  • Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws, occupational health regulations, and workplace safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Familiarity with the DOLE guidelines and other related regulatory bodies.

  • Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certifications (required).

  • Occupational Health certifications or training (preferred but not required).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform medical assessments, exams, and treatments.
  • Must be capable of responding to emergencies and handling medical situations promptly.
