DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
MEDICAL ASSISTANCE/CLINIC MAINTENANCE
- Provides professional nursing service and first aid to employees or customers who become ill or injured on premises of the store.
- Takes patient's vital signs, treats wounds, evaluates physical condition of the patient and contacts physician and hospital to arrange for further medical treatment when necessary.
- Monitors the issuance of medicines and usage of clinic supplies.
- Maintains an adequate inventory of appropriate medical supplies and takes necessary actions for replenishments.
- Conducts regular inventory of all clinic equipment to ensure basic/ needed clinic equipment are available and operational all the time.
- Organizes appointments of the physician during store visits.
- Assists the physician in treating patients (during store visits).
- Provides basic health advice to inquiring employees/ customers. Refers to the physician other concerns beyond personal capacity.
- Maintains record of employees and customers treated and results of treatment for reference purposes.
EMPLOYEE BENEFITS ADMINISTRATION
- Administers statutory and in-house benefits to qualified employees in line with corporate standards and policies.
- Conducts necessary investigations and prepares accident reports for workplace injuries and other accidents experienced by employees happening outside the company to validate insurance claims.
- Monitors and updates health records of all employees.
- Coordinates with HRD Liaison Officer and/ or Corporate Comp & Benefits Supervisor for other benefits related concerns.
- Represents the stores in events of wedding, burial, hospital/ house visits and others.
OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Conducts inspections in coordination with Security and Engineering Departments of company operations/ areas and makes recommendations concerning operations/ areas that are potential hazards to health and/or safety.
- Ensures the submission of reports (Accident, Health, Canteen Inspection, Medicine Inventory and PE Results Reports) to be submitted every 5th day of the month to Compensation and Benefits Supervisor.
- Performs periodic health inspections of food preparation and eating areas, and makes recommendations concerning hygienic practices.
- Maintains awareness of the latest industrial safety and industrial medical practices and evaluates these practices if applicable to the store, and makes recommendations for their implementation.
- Assists in the planning, implementation and evaluation of the health program for employees to promote wellness and protect the health of the employees.
- Assists the Emergency and Response Team (ERT) in all phases of company safety program and performs other duties as required.
- Develops employee programs, such as health education, accident prevention, alcohol abuse counselling, curtailment of smoking, weight control regimens and the like.
- Establishes linkages with hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and other health care providers and professionals.
- Maintains and updates regularly clinic bulletin board/ health corner.
- Monitors the inventory level of uniforms and takes necessary actions for replenishments.
- Monitors the condition of employee facilities such as canteen, locker rooms, rest rooms and the like. Ensures the cleanliness and efficient service and effectiveness of the same for employee well-being and comfort.
- Extends assistance in other areas of HR Department when required.
- Informs immediate superior promptly any problems or unusual matters of significance.
- Assess continually current practices and procedures in order to contribute towards refinement and improvement of service delivery.
- Performs other tasks as may be assigned by the immediate superior.
