I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Position: R&D Project Science Researcher

Department: Research and Development (R&D)

Work Location : Pulilan, Bulacan

II. ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIP

Reports to: R&D Head and Team Leader

Coordinates with: R&D Administrative Team and Biosecurity

III. RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Handle microbiological work both in the laboratory and in the field.

  2. Design and illustrate experiments significant to the project.

  3. Collaborate with other business units with respect to the field of microbiology.

  4. Provide critical analysis and can troubleshoot issues that may come up right away.

  5. Provide detailed reports and presentations in English regarding the progress of the project to upper management.

  6. Maintain laboratory equipment to internal standards.

  7. Organize and store equipment and chemicals based on safety instructions.

  8. Strictly follow all safety and biosecurity guidelines at all times.

IV. KEY QUALIFICATIONS

Educational Attainment: BS Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related fields

Experience Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in working in an academic or industry laboratory required by the project

Requirements/skills :

· Solution-driven

· Approachable and open-minded in receiving criticism

· Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in English

· Knowledge about various laboratory analyses required by the project

· Great attention to detail

· Reliable and honest about experimental results and progress

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace

· Open to traveling to multiple sites to oversee and conduct activities

· Open to working longer shifts if necessary (e.g. experiments that run for >8 hours)

· Ability to work autonomously and under pressure but also with a team

V. WORKING HOURS AND SCHEDULING

· 40 hours per week unless there are long-running experiments or trips

· 8-hour day shifts unless there are long-running experiments or trips
