Job description:

Lean Solutions Group is seeking a proactive and results-driven Sales Logistics Coordinator to join our growing team. In this role, you will connect shippers with carriers, ensuring goods are transported efficiently and cost-effectively. You will build strong relationships with partners, negotiate competitive rates, and oversee the end-to-end coordination of freight movements. Key Responsibilities:

  • Make a minimum of 100 outbound calls and 50 load postings per day to engage potential carriers and shippers.
  • Source and onboard new shipper accounts through cold calls, referrals, and marketing outreach.
  • Build and maintain relationships with trucking companies, owner-operators, and carriers.
  • Negotiate rates and secure capacity for customer loads, ensuring both profitability and service quality.
  • Match available freight with the right carrier based on service requirements, equipment, and cost.
  • Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
  • Maintain carrier compliance with safety, insurance, and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor shipments in real time and resolve any service issues promptly.
  • Utilize TMS (Transportation Management System) and load boards (DAT, Truckstop, etc.) to post and manage loads.
  • Ensure freight documentation is accurate and complete (rate confirmations, BOLs, invoices).
  • Stay informed about market conditions, seasonal trends, and capacity shifts.
  • Work with accounting to support timely billing and payment processing.

Qualifications:

  • 1–3 years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, logistics coordination, or transportation preferred (but entry-level candidates with strong sales skills are encouraged to apply).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Knowledge of trucking market trends and rate fluctuations is a plus.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Strong computer skills and familiarity with TMS software and load boards.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong time-management skills.
