Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sales Head to lead our sales team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have extensive retail and field sales experience, with a proven track record of driving sales growth and leading high-performing teams. This role requires a strategic thinker who can develop and implement effective sales strategies to expand our market presence and achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and drive revenue growth in the food manufacturing industry.
- Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve sales targets and business goals.
- Identify new business opportunities and develop relationships with key customers in the retail and field sales sectors.
- Oversee the planning and execution of sales campaigns, promotions, and initiatives.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to inform sales strategies and tactics.
- Monitor and manage sales budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with marketing and product development teams to ensure alignment on go-to-market strategies.
- Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
- Develop training and development programs to enhance the skills and effectiveness of the sales team.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer meetings.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of sales experience in the food manufacturing industry, with substantial retail and field sales experience.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
- Proficiency in sales and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel as required to meet with customers and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualities:
- Master's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Experience in managing large sales teams and multiple sales channels.
- In-depth knowledge of the food manufacturing industry and key market players.
- Strong network of contacts within the retail and field sales sectors.
