Description

As Learning and Development Group Manager, you will be responsible in leading the conceptualization, development, course design, delivery, and evaluation of learning and leadership development programs and initiatives, ensuring their alignment with the company's strategic objectives and changing business requirements. 

Responsibilities
  • Formulate the strategic direction of the Learning & Development team and align with department and company objectives.
  • Support the business and support function in translating their challenges into capability-building initiatives
  • Lead the design of the curriculum of functional colleges, ensuring that various learning methodology are applied for optimal learning experience of the target participants
  • Support culture-building strategy with OD through design and implementation of values integration training programs
  • Oversee the design and delivery of leadership development programs, ensuring that the People Leaders across the enterprise achieve the minimum leadership standards 
  • Review and approve course designs, course content, training materials, and evaluation metrics of in-house leadership and core development courses prepared by one's direct reports and third-party learning partners
  • Lead the facilitation of Learning Needs Analysis (LNA) process with Department and BU Heads, in partnership with OD and HR Business Partners, to address competency gaps and align the department and BU's planned developmental interventions (e.g., coaching, cross-function Learning & Development, etc.) across the enterprise
  • Align L&D interventions with performance management and talent management initiatives, together with OD.
  • Oversee the management of Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring that the LMS is leveraged by People leaders and employees for their professional development
  • Review and approve endorsements to external Learning & Development based on approved department Learning & Development plans.
  • Review and recommend external training providers based on set criteria to be developed by this role.
  • Develop and recommend metrics and tools to measure training effectiveness. 
  • Review reports and presentations on training effectiveness and impact on performance, engagement, and retention.
  • Facilitate learning and development programs to employees, especially for leadership development courses, including mentoring and coaching programs.
  • Plan and regularly check the L&D budget, ensuring that they are spent correctly and resources are allocated efficiently.
  • Review and endorse Learning & Development Calendar for approval of Top Management.
  • Oversee coordination with external Learning & Development providers and/or internal subject matter experts (SMEs) for specific department Learning & Development needs/requirements.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Education, or related field
  • Post-graduate degree in Human Resources Development or related course is preferred
  • Has related experience in the manufacturing, utilities or retail industry
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in learning and development; 3-5 years of those in a leadership role, managing teams and org-wide programs
  • Has considerable experience in course/instructional design and facilitation of adult learning, especially for managerial and executive leaders
  • Has considerable experience in the set-up, launch, and implementation of Learning technologies
  • With advanced skills in Learning & Development Facilitation & Management, Learning & Development Evaluation, and Competency Development
  • Proficient in Performance Management, Software Application, HR Information System, and Office Management
  • Deep understanding of talent management and performance management
  • Proficient in learning data analytics and insighting
  • Ability to manage and influence stakeholders
  • Ability to communicate and facilitate effectively; can adjust style according to audience's profile
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet them on time (e.g., handling leadership programs, functional colleges, and management trainee programs)
  • Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig City
  • Willing to travel
