An Accounts Payable Officer makes sure their company pays their invoices and bills on time, whether it be by reviewing them with a department head or following up with clients directly.

Responsibilities

  • Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures
  • Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data
  • Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
  • Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.
  • Verify and investigate discrepancies, if any, by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements
  • Generate reports detailing accounts payables status
  • Understand expense accounts and cost centers
  • Understands compliance issues around accounts payable processes (W-9, sales tax, etc.)
  • In charge of preparing 2307 of suppliers
  • Monitoring of Accounting Payable Report
  • In charge of filling out accreditation forms (for Accounting Details ONLY)
  • Lapsing Report - Company Fixed Asset
  • Proper filing of documents

  • Bills to Pay Entry Posting - Request for Payment Preparation (Making sure that all requests are with correct attachment and approved by)

  • Utilities Payment

  • Sales Department Request

  • Payment To supplier Request

  • Petty cash Replenishment

  • Employees Advances

  • Allowances

  • Other Disbursement request
