Finance Manager/ Assistant Manager
· Compiling financial data, creating reports and analyzing the financial health of the company
· Enforcing policies and procedure that keep the company in compliance with financial regulations
· Assisting staff members in the preparation of monthly and quarterly accounting reports
· Analyzing financial Statements (FS) to ensure accuracy and compliance generally accepted to accounting practices.
· Identifying potential cash flow problems and financial irregularities.
· Oversee daily transactions (e.g. billings, AP, AR, bank recon, etc.)
· Manage month end and year-end closing
· Participate in tax audits and payroll
· Accurately preparing tax returns and ensuring that company taxes are paid in a timely manner.
· Providing regular updates to management regarding company finances
· Provide leadership to accounting staff
Qualifications
· Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy
· Well-versed in QuickBooks applications
· Knowledgeable in Financial Statements
· At least 3-5 years supervisory experience in a brokerage, logistics, forwarding industry
· Knowledgeable of accounting practices and principles
· Strong management and leadership skills
· Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
· Ability to function well in a high-placed and at times stressful environment
