Job Title: Video Editor (Short-Form Content Focus)

Reports to: Creative Director

Location: Remote

Hours: Part-time (20 hours a week)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Video Editor who specializes in short-form video content (e.g., TikTok, Reels, YouTube Shorts) to join our growing creative team. This role is ideal for someone with a sharp eye for storytelling, pacing, and current video trends. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment and can create visually engaging, scroll-stopping content that aligns with our brand voice and campaign goals.

This position will also support long-form editing, repurposing content across platforms, and maintaining brand consistency across all visuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Edit and deliver 3–5 short-form videos per day based on raw footage, scripts, or creative briefs.
  • Repurpose long-form content into short-form formats for various platforms (TikTok, IG Reels, YT Shorts).
  • Apply creative motion graphics, transitions, text overlays, and sound design in alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain consistent visual identity, tone, and storytelling in all edited content.
  • Stay up-to-date with social video trends, audios, and editing styles to apply to new projects.
  • Collaborate with content creators, marketing, and strategy teams for feedback and revisions.
  • Organize and manage video assets in an efficient, accessible folder structure.
  • Participate in weekly content planning and brainstorming meetings.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of video editing experience, preferably in digital marketing or social media.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or similar software.
  • Deep understanding of pacing, sound sync, and visual engagement strategies.
  • Experience editing for creators, influencers, or e-commerce brands is a plus.
  • A portfolio of edited short-form videos must be provided.
