Job Description

Manages and maintains virtualized server environments to ensure optimal performance, security and 99.9% availability. It's core responsibility involves the following but not limited to these tasks which are as follows, installation, configuration of both hardware & software including security management, user account management, performs backup and recovery, technical know-how and ability to troubleshoot issues.

Key responsibilities

  • VM (Virtual Machine) management, installation, configuration on VM platforms like VMWare,
  • HyperV or cloud-based solutions.
  • Ensuring underlying physical servers and networks supporting the virtual environment are properly maintained and optimized. (optional since OTP will be on FCS).
  • Proactively monitoring of VMs and the overall virtualized environment, identifying potential issues and bottlenecks.
  • Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the virtualized environment and its data.
  • Establishing backup and disaster recovery procedures for virtual machines and data.
  • Ensure proper documentation of system configurations, procedures and KB for operations BAU.

Qualifications

 Graduate (BS, Engineering, Computer Science) or any IT related graduate course

 Strong understanding of Windows Server or Linux, depending on the specific

environment.

 Hands-on experience is a must with on any virtualized platforms

 Experience with DB management (SQL server, MySQL, etc.)

 Knowledge of networking concepts (LAN, WAN & protocols) is crucial

 Understanding security best practices and ability to implement/execute security

measures

 Familiarity with scripting languages is a plus

 Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively

 Strong problem-solving, communication and organizational skills is essential

 Industry-recognized certifications is a plus
