A high technical and detailed-oriented professional responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end device operations and acquiring tools for key accounts merchants. This role ensures seamless implementation, quality assurance, and operational support of POS, ECR, and related peripherals and resource managements. Serves as the primary technical liaison between the company and the strategic key account merchants, facilitating device connectivity, trouble- shooting, audits, and inventory management. With a strong focus on service quality and merchant satisfaction, this role plays a critical part in the deliverables of SQM's Merchant Implementations team to sustain long-term technical interactions and partnerships.
What you will do:
Responsible for managing and overseeing the end-to-end device management lifecycle for key merchant accounts, including POS terminals, ECRs, peripherals, and connectivity solutions. This role ensures technical excellence, operational efficiency, and quality assurance in support of merchant acquiring tools and services, aligned with SQM merchant implementation standards.
- Technical Oversight: Manage and supervise the deployment, maintenance, and performance of POS, ECR, and related merchant devices, peripherals and its operational servicing.
- Merchant Engagement: Act as technical point of contact for key merchants, collaborating with their teams to ensure smooth device integration and support.
- In partnerships with key accounts RM, this person represents the team on technical meetings and solutioning discussion with merchant partners. Coordinates with internal resources and technical resources to support tasks related to merchant technical needs and requirements
- Quality Assurance and Audit: Ensure all devices meet operational and security standards through regular audits, testing, and issue resolution.
- Inventory Management: Oversee tracking, allocation, and documentation processing of devices specific to key account merchants needs.
- Operational Support: Provide technical assistance and solutions for device-related inquiries, ensuring alignment with SQM merchant implementation and service delivery.
What we are looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience in technical field or project management in software or financial services.
- 3+ years of experience in technical operations, device management, or merchant acquiring.
- Proven track record in managing POS systems, ECRs, and peripheral devices in a merchant or retail environment.
- Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies, understand complex systems (APIs, databases, SDK's, etc.), and desire to improve technical acumen.
- Strong technical background with the ability to understand and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Experience in key account management and working directly with merchant technical teams.
- Knowledge of payment processing, card networks, and financial industry regulations (e.g., PCI DSS) is a plus.
