Assistant Director – GDS Global Counsel

Location: Taguig City

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Assistant Director – Global Counsel to join our Global Delivery Services (GDS) Legal team. The ideal candidate is a qualified lawyer with strong expertise in commercial contracts, labour law advisory, and a solid understanding of dispute and litigation matters.

This role requires strategic legal insight, business acumen, and the ability to provide sound legal guidance across multiple jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert legal advice and support on a wide range of commercial contracts and transactions.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate complex contractual agreements.
  • Offer labour law advisory services and assist in employment-related legal matters.
  • Support internal stakeholders in dispute resolution and litigation issues.
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Partner with business and functional leaders to drive effective legal and compliance strategies.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Law degree (LLB / LLM) from a recognized institution.
  • 10–14 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in a legal role.
  • Ideally completed law degree between 2009 and 2013.
  • Strong expertise in commercial contracts and corporate legal advisory.
  • Exposure to labour and employment law; capability to advise on disputes and litigation.
  • Multi-jurisdictional exposure preferred.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
