Summary:

The Fleet Manager oversees the end-to-end operations of the company's truck fleet, ensuring optimal vehicle utilization, safety, and compliance. This role is responsible for coordinating vehicle movements within the yard, maintaining accurate fleet records, monitoring GPS systems, and managing all pre-trip and post-trip documentation. The Fleet Manager leads the dispatch team, drivers, and field personnel to ensure efficient logistics execution and high service standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in any field; preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in fleet management or logistics operations, with supervisory or managerial responsibilities.
  • Proven ability in planning, scheduling, and routing of truck fleets.
  • Preferably with experience in logistics, e-commerce, or fast-paced delivery operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage the overall truck fleet operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatch coordination.
  • Supervise and mentor the dispatch team, drivers, and field staff to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
  • Oversee fleet maintenance schedules, GPS tracking, and vehicle performance monitoring.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of pre-trip and post-trip inspections and documentation.
  • Implement safety protocols and preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
  • Collaborate with logistics, warehouse, and operations teams to align fleet activities with business goals.
  • Analyze fleet data to identify areas for cost reduction, performance improvement, and operational optimization.
  • Maintain updated records of vehicle registration, insurance, and regulatory compliance.
