JOB PURPOSE:

The Fixed Income Specialist will support the Fixed Income Unit in the attainment of the unit's objective of ensuring optimum investment income growth through effective management and administration of liquidity, bonds and term loans, feeder funds, structured products including Insular Life Retirement Fund (ILERF).

PRINCICPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Analyze investment cash flows to provide guidance in making investment decisions.
  • Negotiate with counterparties and provide daily recommendations on disposition of short-term funds taking into consideration optimum investment returns and adherence to existing policies, controls and future fund requirements.
  • Reviews and implements key initiatives in managing liquidity and other Fixed Income investments.
  • Administration of corporate bonds and term loan portfolios
  • Administration of the Insular Life Retirement Fund (ILERF)
  • Administration of Insular Life's placement/subscription/redemption on other investment outlets including short-term commercial papers, special deposit account, UITF/Feeder Funds, ETFs and other short-term fixed income instruments.
  • Review market activities/situations in relation to the performance of Money Market Funds, Feeder Funds, other Fixed Income Funds and Structured Notes in collaboration with Fund Managers.
  • Analyze and evaluate mortgage loan rates in the market and recommend an optimum yield for this facility.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THE ROLE:

  • A graduate of Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar related course.
  • At least 3 years of experience in handling similar functions, Treasury or Investment Administration function with good working knowledge of the accounting aspect.
  • Familiar with the basic financial instruments in the market and have completed related trainings on treasury or investments, credit evaluation and financial statement analysis.
  • Knowledge in information technology including use of investment tools i.e., Bloomberg
  • Positive interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficient in writing reports and good presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Must be willing to work in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
