Core Responsibilities

  • Engineering subcontractor management
  • Drafted/supervised 7 types of subcontracts: shipping agency, terminal operation, tugboat company, lifting rental, road reconstruction, power relocation, and tree pruning
  • Review subcontractor bills and control payment progress (a single project often involves 5+ subcontractors)
  • Business connection with general contractor (EPC)
  • Process progress payment applications, change approvals, and performance bond extensions according to the terms of the project contract
  • Leading project claims: claims for transportation delays and increased logistics costs caused by the general contractor
  • Heavy transport cost control
  • Monitoring specific cost items: bridge reinforcement fees, temporary land acquisition fees, police car clearance fees, overload permits
  • Prepare profit and loss reports for wind power projects by bidding section (sea/port/land transportation)
  • Experience Requirements
  • More than 5 years of experience in engineering logistics/construction enterprises (must have participated in large-scale equipment transportation projects)
  • More than 3 years of experience in managing multiple types of subcontractors (managing ≥ 3 types at the same time)
  • ≥5 successful claims experience with the general contractor (documentary proof is required during the interview)
  • Core Competencies
  • Proficient in the design of heavy transport contract clauses: demurrage tiered pricing, lifting accident liability definition
  • Familiar with the Philippines' heavy-duty transportation regulations: DPWH overload permit process, LGU local road use permit, NGCP route relocation regulations
  • Expertise in general contractor claims: Evidence chain construction, cost calculation model
  • Other requirements
  • Filipino nationality, able to adapt to the project site working environment
  • Possess a valid driver's license and be able to go to different project sites
  • Fluent English communication skills
