Business Intelligence Engineer

• Lead and manage complex, cross-functional BI and analytics projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical feasibility.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, IT, and other teams to define project scope, requirements, and success criteria.
• Develop project plans, risk assessments, timelines, and communication strategies to ensure seamless execution.
• Facilitate structured problem-solving discussions, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure timely delivery of BI initiatives.
• Act as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring transparency, alignment, and proactive communication with leadership teams.

• Architect and develop end-to-end self-service BI solutions using Power BI (or similar BI platforms), ensuring accuracy, usability, and performance.
• Build advanced dashboards and reports utilizing complex DAX calculations, dynamic visuals, drill-throughs, and interactive components.
• Implement and maintain QA and validation frameworks to ensure data integrity, consistency, and reliable business reporting.
• Partner with business users to enable self-service capabilities by developing templates, training materials, and best practices.
• Improve dashboard performance through optimization techniques such as aggregations, incremental refresh, and query tuning.

• Design, build, and optimize semantic data models that support scalable analytics and reporting across multiple business units.
• Ensure models follow best practices in star schema, normalization, data relationships, and calculation groups to maximize flexibility and performance.
• Investigate and resolve metric discrepancies, data anomalies, and quality issues by working closely with data engineering and source system owners.
• Write and optimize SQL queries, DAX measures, and transformation logic to support analytics workflows.
• Contribute to the development of shared data assets, reusable models, datasets, and transformation pipeline.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor/College Degree in Computer Engineering or relevant course
• Strong skills in Power BI and Data Visualization, including data modeling, DAX, and creating interactive dashboards
• Highly proficient in SQL, data transformations, performance tuning, and investigating metric anomalies.
• Leads complex cross-functional projects independently, ensuring business outcomes
• Delivers compelling narratives that drive decisions; adapts stories for different audiences
