Role Overview
The network engineer is responsible for providing internal and external client support for BTCS production infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the implementation of the Network Project Deployment Plans and Operational support
  • Implement network configuration for client connectivity and troubleshoot end to end client connectivity issues.
  • Maintains regional network systems, as needed, and provides off-hours coverage via mobile/remote access as necessary
  • Ensure the accuracy of network inventory, circuit inventory and network diagrams
  • Management of network vendors and carriers to ensure their services can fulfil our SLA

Your Profile

  • Over 5 years of experience in similar role (candidates with less experience will be considered as Junior Network Engineer)
  • Experience/certification with Cisco equipment, F-5 load balancers, NetScout, Juniper
  • Knowledge of Network Monitoring and Management tools
  • Experience supporting large scale Enterprise LAN/WAN infrastructures using Cisco hardware.
  • Network protocols – BGP, OSPF, HSRP, IPSEC, GRE, 802.11, QoS, IGMP, PIM etc.
  • Network Platforms - Cisco, Juniper, F5, Netscout
  • OSI – TCP/IP stack
  • Network monitoring – HO OpenView, Nagios, CACTI, SNMP
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, telecommunications, information systems, or another related field OR equivalent work experience
  • Possess a solid understanding of the technologies, communications protocols, OSI model.
  • Cisco CCNA/CCNP qualification
  • Must be able to speak, read and write primarily in the English language.
  • Experience working in a global operational network team is strongly desired
  • Experience in the financial or fintech industry is a plus
