About the role

The Senior Building Maintenance is responsible for supervising and performing maintenance, repair, and inspection of Akari's building facilities, equipment, and utilities. The role ensures that all electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and structural systems are in excellent working condition to support smooth business operations. The position also leads maintenance staff, coordinates preventive maintenance programs, and ensures safety and efficiency within the facility.

What you'll be doing

  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment, lighting, and facilities are in good condition.

  • Oversee and coordinate all building maintenance activities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general repairs

  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to proactively address potential issues
  • Lead troubleshooting and corrective actions for any facility-related issues.
  • Manage tools, materials, and spare parts inventory.
  • Provide technical support during facility upgrades, renovations, or new installations.
  • Prepare reports, job requests, and recommendations for equipment improvement.
  • Liaise with vendors, contractors, and service providers to schedule and oversee maintenance and repair projects
  • Monitor and report on building systems performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and safety standards
  • Respond to and resolve emergency maintenance requests in a timely and efficient manner

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance or facilities management, preferably in the commercial real estate industry
  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems (carpentry works)
  • Familiarity with safety standards and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and maintenance manuals
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressure to meet deadlines
