Job Description
We're looking for a skilled
Infrastructure Engineer
to lead the migration of our existing infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and manage the long-term stability, performance, and scalability of our systems. You'll play a key role in assessing our current architecture, executing the lift-and-shift migration, and implementing GCP-native best practices for deployment, monitoring, and security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the migration of existing infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Lift & Shift.
  • Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure using GCP services (e.g., Compute Engine. Cloud SQL, Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Storage, IAM, VPC).
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar.
  • Containerize applications where applicable using Docker and manage deployment with Terraform or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
  • Manage and optimize PostgreSQL databases (migrating from NHost to Cloud SQL or equivalent).
  • Configure and maintain DNS, SSL/TLS certificates, and network settings across environments.
  • Implement monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana) to ensure uptime and system performance.
  • Establish security best practices in deployment and authentication
  • Experience in automating backups and disaster recovery
  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure smooth integration of frontend (VueJS) and backend (NodeJS + Typescript + Hasura) applications with GCP-hosted services.
  • Continuously evaluate cloud cost, performance, and scalability trade-offs to recommend optimizations.

Minimum Qualifications
What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), specifically in designing, deploying, managing production-grade systems.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (GitHub Actions, Cloud Build, or similar).
  • Experience managing PostgreSQL databases in production and migrating data between platforms.
  • Familiarity with Hasura GraphQL, third-party authentication and authorization frameworks (Clerk or similar), and email testing tools like Mailtraip.
  • Proficiency in containerization (Docker) and Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Pulumi, etc.).
  • Understanding of DNS, SSL/TLS, networking, and load balancing principles.
  • Understanding of VueJS frontend framework and its integration with backend APIs
  • Understanding of NodeJS and Typescript backend framework and its integration with third-party APIs.
