Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team at Metriccon Co., Inc., a leading player in the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing mechanical systems in various construction projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, safety codes, and client specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and review mechanical systems (plumbing, fire protection, etc.) for construction projects.
  • Collaborate with architects, civil engineers, and project managers to integrate mechanical designs into building plans.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor installation and inspect system performance.
  • Perform technical calculations and simulations to ensure mechanical systems operate efficiently and safely.
  • Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and blueprints to determine mechanical requirements.
  • Manage material selection, procurement, and cost estimation for mechanical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Provide technical support and problem-solving during project execution.
  • Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and maintenance manuals.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical engineering within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and mechanical design.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant design software.
  • Familiarity with building codes and mechanical standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Professional license is a preferred.
