JOB SUMMARY

This role is responsible for overseeing end-to-end accounting functions—covering daily transaction recording, account reconciliation, financial reporting, and ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the full accounting cycle for several related companies, including preparing journal entries, updating the general ledger, and handling month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Review and validate accounts payable transactions and payment vouchers.
  • Prepare financial reports, statements, and supporting schedules.
  • Perform bank and account reconciliations, including investigating discrepancies and monitoring balances.
  • Process payroll and ensure timely submission of all statutory government remittances and reports.
  • Handle accruals, prepaid expenses, and related adjustments based on accounting principles.
  • Support budget preparation, financial forecasting, and analysis.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing required documents and schedules.
  • Oversee quarterly inventory checks for company materials and supplies.
  • Maintain intercompany accounts and ensure reconciled schedules.
  • Prepare and file BIR tax reports (VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, etc.) and ensure timely compliance.
  • Assist with renewing business permits, licenses, and other compliance documentation.
  • Recommend improvements to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance within accounting processes.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a closely related course.
  • Preferably 3–5 years of experience in accounting; experience in real estate is an advantage.
  • Background in cost accounting is a plus.
  • Proficient in MS Office, accounting systems, and database tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work with accuracy.
