About the role

In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loan accounts, ensuring efficient and profitable operations. What you'll be doing

  • Proactively manage a portfolio of commercial loan accounts, including monitoring repayments, reviewing financial statements, and identifying opportunities for growth
  • Conduct thorough credit assessments and risk analysis to support lending decisions
  • Liaise with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions
  • Negotiate loan terms and conditions, ensuring profitability and compliance with internal policies and regulations
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date loan documentation and records
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance the commercial lending operation

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in commercial lending or a similar role within the banking/financial services industry
  • Strong understanding of credit analysis, risk assessment, and commercial lending practices
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
  • Proficient in financial analysis, including the ability to interpret financial statements and projections
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements in the banking industry
