We are looking for a Senior Credit Controller to manage Regular accounts in line with Group Credit Policy and support the Assistant Credit Manager in overseeing the offshore team. You'll align legacy team processes, drive integration across global locations, and support transformation efforts to streamline finance operations. The role ensures compliance with audit, credit insurance, GDPR, and legal standards while maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What will you do as a Senior Credit Controller?

As a Senior Credit Controller, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's financial success by managing credit and collections performance against key metrics. It ensures responsible customer sales and maximises cash flow.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Manage Regular accounts (typically under £300k), assessing credit risk, applying limits, and improving payment performance and account aging.
  • Handle disputes from start to finish, working closely with Sales and Operations to maintain productive client relationships.
  • Support team growth through ongoing training and spot opportunities to improve credit control processes.
  • Track Accounts Receivable, meet key targets, and provide clear reporting on aged debt, collections, and risk.
  • Review billing and contract terms; approve credit up to £25k and refer larger cases appropriately.
  • Create tailored account plans to meet client needs and encourage long-term engagement.

  • Studying or qualified in accountancy (desirable), with strong SAP and Microsoft Office skills—particularly Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables), reconciliations, and reporting.
