Position Title: Credit Manager

Location: Remote - Philippines

Schedule: Full-Time, Permanent


Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Credit Manager to lead credit risk management and customer evaluation processes. In this role, you will develop and implement credit policies, assess customer creditworthiness, and manage credit risk while supporting the company's growth objectives.


What You'll Do
  • Develop and implement credit policies and procedures aligned with company risk tolerance and growth objectives
  • Evaluate new customer credit applications and establish appropriate credit limits
  • Conduct financial analysis of customer creditworthiness using financial statements, credit reports, and industry data
  • Monitor and review existing customer accounts, adjusting credit terms as needed
  • Analyze portfolio credit risk metrics to identify trends and potential issues
  • Negotiate payment terms and credit limits while maintaining strong customer relationships
  • Collaborate with Sales and Collections teams to optimize credit decisions and resolve customer concerns
  • Oversee credit insurance programs and relationships with credit insurance providers
  • Prepare reports on credit portfolio performance for senior management
  • Lead projects related to credit risk management and process improvements
  • Manage and develop credit team members
  • Build and maintain relationships with external credit reporting agencies and financial institutions
  • Review and approve credit hold releases based on established criteria
  • Monitor industry and economic trends that may impact customer creditworthiness

What You Need to Succeed
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • 7+ years of credit management experience in a B2B environment
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and credit analysis
  • Proficiency in credit risk assessment tools and methodologies
  • Knowledge of commercial credit laws and regulations
  • Proven success in managing credit risk while enabling business growth
  • ERP systems and credit management software experience
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication abilities with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Leadership experience in managing and developing a team
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred
  • NACM certification (CCE, CICP, or similar) strongly preferred
