Job Overview:

We're looking for an Intermediate Funnel Copywriter who can craft and write high performing and conversion-focused funnels for e-commerce brands — and to lead the testing strategy and execution of front-end funnel pages that support the brand's strategy and profit goals.

This role is ideal for an experienced copywriter (4–6 years in direct-response or eCom copywriting) who has launched multiple successful funnels across different products and is ready to operate independently — from strategic planning to execution — within a brand's growth roadmap.

You'll be assigned to specific brands and work under the direction of a Brand Operator, who owns the overall brand strategy and profitability. The Brand Operator will set the brand priorities and strategy, and you'll build and launch funnel strategies that drive those goals.

1. Funnel & Landing Page Copywriting

  • Write persuasive copy for full funnel flows: landing pages, advertorials, upsells, and product pages
  • Create front-end offers and products to drive performance with targeted CPA and AOV
  • Apply advanced CRO principles (price positioning, design hierarchy, user flow) to maximize conversions or AOV
  • Ensure messaging aligns across all funnel assets and ties tightly to customer psychology

2. Strategy, Research & Testing

  • Build and drive a testing roadmap for your brand's funnel pages — deciding which funnel hypotheses to test, when, and in what order, based on data and brand priorities
  • Translate funnel hypotheses into clear angles, hooks, and storytelling directions
  • Conduct competitor research, review mining, and data analysis to generate net new angles, and offer ideas
  • Analyze funnel reports, attribution data, and heatmaps to pinpoint reasons for performance shifts
  • Turn insights into data-backed pivots — deciding what funnel elements to scale, kill, or iterate

3. Collaboration

  • Work closely with your Brand Operator to align your funnel test plan with the brand's strategies and profit goals
  • Partner with graphic designers and developers to deliver funnel launches end to end
  • Perform QA on copy, graphics, and developed pages to ensure accuracy, structure, and design/dev alignment
  • Ensure deliverables are launched on time and meet defined performance targets

Must Have Qualifications

  • 4–6 years of direct-response or eCom copywriting experience
  • Proven success launching funnels across multiple products
  • Deep mastery of funnel and traffic metrics (CPA, CVR, AOV, ROAS, nCPA, LTV) and how they drive profitability
  • Strong understanding of how funnels connect with media buying, email, and other channels
  • Advanced CRO and direct-response knowledge beyond copy alone (pricing, positioning, web design, user flow)
  • Ability to translate insights into data-backed creative pivots
  • Strong written communication skills and persuasive storytelling ability
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)

Nice to Have Qualifications

  • Experience planning and prioritizing a funnel testing roadmap (not just executing isolated tests)
  • Ability to forecast or estimate CPA, AOV, or CVR impact of new funnel or offer concepts
  • Experience creating front-end offers, bundles, or lead magnets to drive performance
  • Familiarity with CRO principles beyond copy (pricing psychology, user flow, page design hierarchy)
  • Strong review mining and competitor analysis skills to generate original, data-backed angles
  • Has a swipe file or proven frameworks to quickly develop high-converting ideas
  • Experience guiding designers on visuals aligned with copy strategy
  • Understands how funnel metrics roll up to brand KPIs like profit, retention, etc.
  • Comfortable collaborating with Brand Operators to align funnel test direction with business goals

Our Recruitment Process

We keep our hiring process structured but straightforward, so you'll know exactly what to expect at each stage:

  • Deep Dive Interview with Recruiter - A 15 to 30 minute conversation focused on your career journey, past roles, accomplishments, and what you are looking for next. This helps us understand your background and alignment with the role.
  • Trial Project Assessment - At this stage, you'll get to demonstrate your skills through a sample project that uses real data or scenarios from our operations.This stage usually takes one of two forms.
  • Audit: You may be asked to review a campaign and apply the IDS method (Identify issues, Discuss your observations, and Suggest solutions).
  • Skills Output: You may be asked to create a sample deliverable that reflects the role, such as drafting a VSL script, writing email responses, or producing a short-form video.

All trial projects are covered by a simple NDA to protect both you and the company. It ensures our data remains confidential and also makes clear that your work will only be used for evaluation purposes unless we hire you or we both agree in writing with fair compensation.

We also ask that most trial projects be submitted with a short Loom video. This is not about teaching us how you did the work but about explaining why you made certain decisions and how you approached the task.

  • Final Interview with Hiring ManagerThe last step is a conversation with the hiring manager. Together, you'll go through your trial project output and discuss how your experience, ideas, and working style can make an impact in the role if you're selected. This stage is less about formal Q&A and more about exploring fit, collaboration, and vision.
