ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Branch Finance Assistant. Who is Responsible for the preparation and analysis of branch financial statements and reports. Maintains journal book, general ledger and chart accounts. Handles tax and other regulatory requirements of the branch. Consolidates tax requirements of IADI. Prepares and analyzes other accounting schedules.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Handles posting of journal entries to the Journal Book. Prepares General Ledger and Financial Statements of the branch. Maintains/Updates chart of accounts/ Prepares and consolidates. Operations Review Materials, Executive Summary Report and other reports required by Central Finance and Ayala Corporation. Prepares breakdown of admin expenses. Analyzes accounts and other financial reports.
- Handles and ensures timely submission of tax and other regulatory requirements of the branch. Coordinates with branches regarding the submission and consolidation of the requirements such as VAT, withholding taxes, fringe benefits taxes, income taxes, annual registration of books, annual registration fee, local business taxes. Etc.
- Coordinates with Human Resources Dept. on payroll-related entries and transactions. Ensures that remittances to SSS, Philhealth, Pag-ibig and APMC tally with books.
- Handles the accounting of fixed assets and low-value assets of the branch. Ensures proper take up of depreciation. In-charge in the conduct of physical count of fixed assets and low-value assets. Handles reconciliation of the count and books.
- Prepares schedule of Advances to/from BYD Bacoor. Handles reconciliation of transactions with BYD Bacoor.
- Handles the preparation and analysis of the following schedules. Other Current Assets, Other Current Liabilities, Accounts Payable-Suppliers and Taxes & Licenses.
- Prepares the weekly Status Report of the Accounting Dept.
- Assist the Finance & Admin Manager in coordinating and complying with the requirements of internal auditors, SGV, Ayala Corporation, BIR and other government agencies.
- Monitors/Ensures that set-up internal control policies and procedures related to vehicle sales transactions are complied with.
- Prepares Journal Entries related to assigned accounts
- Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BS Commerce major in Accounting Certified Public Accountant
- With at least two (2) years experience in General/Financial Accounting
- Has knowledgeable in accounting (in audit an advantage), Computer knowledge, With very good analytical skills
- Hardworking, patient, responsible, can work with minimum supervision, has the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written), leader
