Branch Finance Assistant

ACMobility is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Branch Finance Assistant responsible for the preparation and analysis of branch financial statements and reports. The role includes maintaining the journal book, general ledger, and chart of accounts, handling tax and other regulatory requirements of the branch, consolidating tax requirements of IADI, and preparing various accounting schedules.
Job Responsibilities:
- Posts journal entries to the Journal Book and prepares the General Ledger and Financial Statements of the branch.
- Maintains and updates the Chart of Accounts.
- Prepares and consolidates Operations Review Materials, Executive Summary Reports, and other reports required by Central Finance and Ayala Corporation.
- Prepares breakdowns of administrative expenses and analyzes accounts and financial reports.
- Ensures timely preparation and submission of tax and other regulatory requirements of the branch, including VAT, withholding taxes, fringe benefit taxes, income taxes, annual registration of books, registration fees, and local business taxes.
- Coordinates with branches for the consolidation of these tax requirements.
- Works with the Human Resources Department on payroll-related transactions. Ensures that remittances to SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and APMC align with book records.
- Handles accounting for fixed and low-value assets, ensures correct depreciation entries, conducts physical counts, and reconciles results with book balances.
- Prepares and reconciles schedules related to advances to/from inter-branch transactions.
- Prepares and analyzes accounting schedules, including: Other Current Assets, Other Current Liabilities, Accounts Payable – Suppliers, Taxes and Licenses
- Prepares the weekly status report of the Accounting Department.
- Assists the Finance & Admin Manager in coordinating and fulfilling requirements for internal and external audits.
- Monitors and ensures compliance with internal control policies and procedures related to vehicle sales transactions.
- Prepares journal entries for assigned accounts.
- Performs other related duties as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of finance course preferably Accounting, CPA an advantage
- Computer literate
- Systematic, analytical, flexible, high external customer- orientation, adept to details
