Job Description

As an Accountant, you will handle reconciliations, prepare and review financial statements, and support reporting for client portfolios. You will work closely with U.S.-based teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency while contributing to process improvements across accounting and operations.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in data analysis, data entry, bookkeeping, or general accounting
  • Experience reviewing contracts or sourcing contract data from providers
  • Familiarity with US GAAP accounting standards
  • Strong background in customer service
  • Exceptional communication skills in English (oral and written)
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Capable of working independently and making informed decisions
  • Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong client relationships
  • Experience with property management accounting software is a plus (Vantaca, Buildium, Caliber)
  • Comfortable in fast-paced environments, delivering high-quality results
  • Experience managing multiple clients simultaneously is a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets (e.g., VLOOKUPs, linking data)
  • Familiarity with processing accounting data in NetSuite, SAP, or QuickBooks

Your Daily Tasks

  • Assume ownership of the reconciliation process for CAM buildings/portfolios
  • Summarize current financial status by preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other reports
  • Review monthly financial statements for CAM buildings/portfolios
  • Handle direct financial reporting for a portfolio of customers, including reconciliations and preparation of monthly reporting packets
  • Work with the Chicago-based accounting department to reconcile and report on related CAM and corporate accounts
  • Prepare payments by verifying documentation and requesting disbursements
  • Support budget and forecasting activities
  • Assist in the onboarding of new community associations
  • Answer accounting procedure questions
  • Assist in continuous improvements to internal processes of both accounting and operations
