Job Description for Sales Information Specialist
Overview: The Sales Information Specialist (SIS) plays a vital role in supporting the functional and operational needs of the Business Intelligence and Commercial Services (BICS) Group. This position is primarily responsible for the consolidation, validation, and accurate integration of external data into internal systems.
The SIS is expected to be organized, detail-oriented, and highly proficient in using data management tools to generate and analyze sales-related information. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to maintain data integrity and ensure timely and effective reporting that supports business decision-making.
Qualification:
- College Graduate (Male / Female)
- With 2-3 years of experience in the same capacity, preferably obtained from the FMCG or related industries.
- Required Skills: Highly proficient in MS Excel (Pivot, vlookup, basic formulas), Data Management, Time Management, and Process Mapping
- Can manage traveling to and from FACC, Pasay, and business-related engagements
- High potential, analytical, and trainable
- Has a thorough understanding of data entry methods, equipment, and procedures.
- Strategic in the approach to data gathering, organization, and management.
- Being very strong in collaboration and coordination, with minimal intervention from the line manager
- With good business acumen
Accountability:
Supports the Commercial Team by attending to functional and operational tasks.
FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Analytical Reports:
- Consolidates, validates, and accurately integrates external sell-out data into internal systems.
- Maintains and updates internal and external customer and item master lists.
- Provides end-user support, including issue resolution; acts as liaison with ICT, Sales, and RD teams for DMS-related concerns.
- Prepares weekly and monthly status reports on DMS data submissions.
- Develops and executes simulation scripts for system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
- Organizes and analyzes syndicated reports such as SISO, UBA, and Productivity reports.
- Validates data used for sales contests and distributor awards.
- Reconciles final monthly sales data for reporting accuracy.
- Prepares the final monthly sell-out report per RD and DSP for incentive computation.
- Performs other relevant tasks as assigned by the immediate superior.
Technical Support:
- Deployment of BI Tools (eg. DMS Portal)
- Training and facilitation of BI Tools to internal and external stakeholders
OPERATIONAL BACK-END SUPPORT
Strategic Projects and Corporate Activities
A. Process mapping & improvement of BI workflow
- Liaison between BSSD, ICT, and other involved departments in various BI-related projects
B. Supporting committee for company-wide commercial events
- Co-manage the secretariat team in support of various administrative requirements during the National Sales Conference, Distributor Convention, Channel Conference, as well as other related corporate events
