Job Summary:

The Farm Accounting Assistant will provide support to the Costing and Accounting departments by assisting in the physical count, reconciliation, and validation of farm assets, biological assets, supplies, and consumables. This role ensures the accuracy of inventory, costing, and depreciation records for more reliable financial reporting. The position requires close coordination with farm engineering, administration, logistics, and audit teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist farm engineering staff with the initial listing and physical count of engineering supplies and materials (approx. ₱15M)
  • Support farm admin staff in listing fixed assets, reconciling discrepancies between General Ledger and Fixed Asset Register (₱139M variance).
  • Assist in identifying and listing consumptive and productive biological assets.
  • Reconcile records with harvest and mortality reports from both farm and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies in headcount.
  • Assist with the list and valuation of veterinary medicines at the Central Warehouse, Breeder, and W2F sites.
  • Update and maintain the list of productive biological assets (e.g., boars and sows).
  • Monitor and update schedules to remove costs of mortalities and culled animals for accurate monthly amortization.
  • Validate mortality data by reconciling production and operations records.
  • Support implementation of proper cost recognition for mortalities: W2F mortalities
  • Assist in implementing updated costing for consumptive biological assets aligned with PAS 41 standards
  • Initial recognition of biological assets at birth
  • Accurate cost attribution for feeds and vet meds
    Reclassify gestating feeds, boar-specific feeds, and vet meds as COGS
  • Validate and physically count farm meals, admin supplies, and agricultural products upon delivery (e.g., fish, fruits, vegetables).
  • Conduct initial checks on farm meal expenses prior to submission
  • Assist the Audit Team during spot audits at farm locations by providing records, reports, and physical inventory validation.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by the Costing Analyst, Accounting Supervisor, or Accounting Manager

Qualifications:

  • College level or graduate of any 4-year course
  • Knowledgeable In basic MS Word and Excel
  • Can prepare basic audit report (actual vs. records)
  • Can follow Instructions
  • Can work under pressure
  • Has initiative and problem solving and leadership skills
  • Willing to be assigned at Farm
