JOB SUMMARY

The
AppDev Team Lead
will lead a team of software developers in designing, developing, and delivering innovative digital applications. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership capability, and a strong understanding of modern development practices. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who can guide the team, ensure coding best practices, manage workload distribution, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to meet client expectations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Leadership & Application Development

• Lead Research & Development (R&D) prototypes and develop working software components.
• Perform gap analysis for third-party systems.
• Act as a key resource for resolving technical conflicts and issues.
• Actively participate in designing software components.
• Lead the design, development, and delivery of high-quality applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for development approaches, code reviews, and architectural decisions.
• Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code; troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
• Ensure adherence to coding standards, secure development practices, and best-in-class engineering principles.

Team Management & Mentorship

• Manage, mentor, and guide a team of developers, supporting growth and skill development.
• Conduct regular performance check-ins, feedback sessions, and provide coaching on technical and soft skills.
• Support resource planning, task assignment, and workload balancing to ensure on-time delivery.

Project Delivery & Collaboration

• Work closely with product owners, business analysts, QA leads, and project managers to understand requirements and plan deliverables.
• Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring successful on-time delivery of project milestones.
• Communicate project progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders and leadership.
• Support estimation, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint reviews).

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

• Ensure development output meets quality standards through rigorous code reviews and continuous integration practices.
• Collaborate with QA teams to embed automated testing, code quality tools, and DevOps pipelines.
• Advocate for continuous improvement in development processes, tool adoption, and engineering efficiency.

Innovation & Technology Excellence

• Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and development patterns.
• Recommend new tools, libraries, and approaches to enhance application performance and maintainability.
• Lead initiatives to modernize existing applications, enabling better scalability and security.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development.
• 2+ years in a technical leadership, team lead, or senior developer role.
• Strong proficiency in one or more modern development stacks (e.g., .NET Core, Java, , Python, or similar).
• Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular, React, or
• Experience building APIs, microservices, and cloud-native applications (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Strong knowledge of version control, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing frameworks.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong technical leadership and hands-on coding ability.
