The Tech Support Engineer serves as the 2nd point of resolution for technical issues related to client's IT Infrastructure, which could not be solved by Help Desk representatives. S/He provides immediate troubleshooting support as well as input to longer-term changes of the affected products.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Diagnoses and resolves issues raised by business users or IT owners about client's IT infrastructure
  • Coordinates with other members of the Technology Support Stack where necessary to ensure continuity of service
  • Communicates with key stakeholders as required regarding incident progress, impending changes and any agreed upon outages
  • Researches, trains and advocates novel technologies and tools to ensure the latest trends and developments are considered as part of client's IT infrastructure
  • Supports a positive and collaborative digital delivery culture with a philosophy of continuous improvement, development, innovation and excellence, while remaining in compliance with the bank's policies and procedures and upholding the highest standards of professional conduct

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Years of Experience: 1-3 years of experience in technology support, customer service, or a related field
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent work experience may be considered.
  • Skills: Oracle Database
  • Nice to have: Linux OS Knowledge/ Credit Card Management

  • Required/Preferred Certification/Professional License (if applicable):

  • CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent

  • CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent is a plus.

  • Field of Specialization (if applicable):

  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in hardware, software, and network systems

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Familiarity with ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) methodology is a plus
  • Knowledge of Windows and/or Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Knowledge of cloud computing (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a plus
