Junior Quality Assurance Specialist

As a Junior Quality Assurance Specialist, you will assist in ensuring the quality and performance of our ride-hailing platform through manual and automated testing. You will work closely with senior QA team members and cross-functional teams to identify and report defects and support QA processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Test Strategy & Execution

  • Assist in the execution of test cases for functional and regression testing.
  • Conduct manual testing across different platforms and devices under the guidance of Mid/Senior QA members.

Defect Tracking:

  • Identify, log, and track software defects using tools like JIRA.
  • Collaborate with developers to provide feedback on identified issues.

Documentation:

  • Help in the creation and maintenance of documentation (test plans, test cases, reports).
  • Ensure compliance with QA methodologies as directed.

Collaboration:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to support testing efforts and align with business goals.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss testing progress and challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 0-2 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance (manual testing preferred).
  • Basic understanding of QA methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Familiarity with defect tracking tools (JIRA or similar) is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to learn.
