Senior System Administrator

Technical Leadership & Infrastructure Management:
- Architect, deploy, manage, and optimize our Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID (Azure AD), Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for client cloud adoption, modernization, and security hardening.
- Lead the design and implementation of system infrastructure projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to specification.
- Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices for system administration, security, and disaster recovery.
- Serve as the highest level of escalation for complex technical issues, providing expert troubleshooting and resolution.
Migrations & Backups:
- Lead and execute complex cloud migration projects (e.g., from on-premises to Azure, tenant-to-tenant migrations, email migrations).
- Design, implement, and manage robust backup and disaster recovery strategies for Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive) and Azure IaaS workloads.
Vendor and Service Provider Management:
- Act as the primary technical point of contact and manage relationships with key service providers, including cloud vendors, and hardware/software suppliers.
- Evaluate vendor performance, negotiate contracts and statements of work (SOWs), and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Coordinate with providers on project delivery, support tickets, and root cause analysis.
Team Leadership & Mentorship:
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical direction to junior system administrators and IT support staff.
- Delegate tasks effectively and oversee the work of other team members to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Foster a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the IT team.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and manage robust security measures across the entire infrastructure, including endpoint protection, identity and access management, and network security groups.
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for Microsoft 365 and Azure security, implementing best practices for identity (Azure AD), data loss prevention (DLP), conditional access, and threat protection.
- Ensure systems comply with relevant industry regulations and internal security policies.
- Lead incident response efforts for security events and system outages.
Automation & Optimization:
- Develop and deploy automation scripts using PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Azure Automation to streamline operational tasks, improve efficiency, and reduce manual intervention.
- Continuously monitor and optimize client environments for performance and cost-effectiveness.
Strategic Planning:
- Collaborate with IT leadership to develop a strategic roadmap for infrastructure evolution and cloud adoption.
- Research and recommend new technologies and solutions to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance security.
- Manage capacity planning and budgeting for infrastructure-related expenses.
Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a System Administration role, with at least 2 years in a senior or team lead capacity.
- Extensive hands-on experience managing and supporting Microsoft Azure (IaaS & PaaS) and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
- Proven Managed Service Provider (MSP) experience, managing multiple client tenants simultaneously.
- Expert-level knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
- Demonstrable experience leading large-scale migration projects (email, data, workloads).
- Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting for administration and automation of Microsoft cloud services.
- In-depth understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Firewalls).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Highly Desirable:
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert (MS-102)
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (MS-102) or equivalent.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Bicep.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., Veeam, Azure Backup).
- Managed Service Provider (MSP) operational experience
- Experience with HaloPSA and NinjaOne
Job Type: Fixed term
Contract length: 6 months
Pay: Php100, Php120,000.00 per month
