Role Description (Credit Officer/Business Credit Officer)

Credit & Risk Evaluation: Assess borrower creditworthiness, prepare risk ratings, and evaluate supporting documents

Decision Making & Recommendations: Render credit decisions within approved limits and recommend credit actions

Reporting & Documentation: Prepare credit recommendation sheets, productivity reports, and other required documents

Compliance: Ensure adherence to bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements

Communication & Coordination: Act as point of contact, coordinate with the teams, and address queries

Additional Role Description (Business Credit Officer)

Policy Formulation: Assist in the creation or modification of policies

Approvals: Review and approve/sign off on borrower risk rating and risk evaluation sheets

Reporting: Prepare required reports on time and conduct client site visits, including call reports

Meetings: Attend sub-credit committee, executive committee and board meetings

Qualifications

  • Strong Credit Management and Credit skills
  • Excellent Analytical Skills and Finance knowledge
  • Effective Communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • Previous experience in the banking industry is an advantage
